Description:

Alyssa started Cultivate Play, PLLC in 2024 in response to a lack of neurodiversity affirming providers in the middle Tennessee area. She received her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Exercise Science, and her Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) degree from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She has experience in a variety of pediatric populations, but specializes in neurodiversity affirming and strengths based care, including but not limited to, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance / Persistent Drive for Autonomy (PDA), etc. Alyssa is also neurodiverse (ADHDer), so she understands first hand many of the unique experiences of our neurodiverse children and their families. She is a certified DIR Floortime provider and uses these techniques often in her practice. She is passionate about home/community based care to enhance authentic and meaningful participation.
