🚀 New Feature - Read-Only Patient Information and Medical History for Custom Forms
👥 Audience: Admins who build custom forms, and the therapists who fill them out
🛠️ Steps to Access: The read only option needs no permission or setup. Open your form in the form editor, click the gear on a patient information component (name, date of birth, timezone, sex, phone numbers, emails, or diagnosis codes), and check "Read only". The new Patient's Medical History component has to be turned on for your practice before it shows up in the component list, so reach out if you would like it enabled.
📢 What's new?: You can now show a patient's information on a form without letting it be changed there. Check the new "Read only" box on any patient information component and it will display the patient's details for reference only. Therapists will see the information clearly marked as read only, and any updates to the patient's profile will need to be made from the patient's record instead. Finished documents also keep showing the patient information they were saved with, even if the profile is updated later.
There is also a new Patient's Medical History component you can add to evaluations and plans of care. It shows the medical history from the patient's record, and unless you mark it read only, whatever a therapist writes there is saved back to the patient's record.
🛠️ Fix - Alert and Prompting Tooltips Display Correctly
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
📅 Date range affected: N/A
❗ Issue: We fixed an issue where some alert and prompting tooltips were cut off when the text contained an apostrophe.
✅ Action Steps: None.
🚀 New Feature - Custom Form Progress Reports
👥 Audience: Therapists and administrators (beta)
🛠️ Steps to Access: Ask Ambiki to switch on progress reports for your organization (a beta flag). An administrator then turns on the Progress reports section under Organization settings, EMR settings, Patient profile. Therapists need the Create Progress Report permission and an allowed credential; choosing which goals a report shows needs the Manage Goals permission.
📢 What's new?: Progress reports are now custom-form documents. Your organization designs the form, and therapists fill it in with each goal's progress over the reporting period, propose goal changes that take effect when the report is signed, save, sign and print it like any other document. Each goal shows one progress chart covering the reporting period to begin with, and a gear on each chart (or one for the whole report) chooses what it draws and the dates it covers: this period, every session, or dates of your own; the choice is kept with the report and printed the same way.
🛠️ Fix - Add-On Changes Save Correctly on Manage Users
👥 Audience: Admins who manage subscription seats
📅 Date range affected: August 24, 2026 onward
❗ Issue: Turning an add-on off for a user on the Manage users table did not stay off, and could move the user to the Basic plan.
✅ Action Steps: If a user was moved to Basic unexpectedly, reassign their plan on the Manage users table.
🚀 New Feature - Manage Appointment Confirmations from the Calendar
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
🛠️ Steps to Access: Requires the Manage Schedule permission. The cancelled mark also requires a plan that includes attendance.
📢 What's new?: Staff can now mark a patient as confirmed straight from the calendar, so a confirmation taken by phone or at the front desk is recorded in the same place as one made through the patient portal. Confirmations can be set or cleared one patient at a time, or for everyone selected in a group session at once. A cancelled patient can also be put back to unconfirmed, and if a make-up visit has already been claimed or re-booked by a colleague, Ambiki says so before anything changes. If a patient cancels via the portal (through SMS reminders), that cancellation will reflect in the event. The hover language will show that the event was canceled. Confirmations by the patient will show confirmed in the event and hover language will show confirmed by patient.
🚀 New Feature - Fax Signed Documents Directly from Their Page
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
🛠️ Steps to Access: Requires the faxing add-on, a fax number set up for your organization, and the Create Fax permission.
📢 What's new?: You can now fax a signed evaluation, plan of care, or visit note straight from its page. Open the document, choose Fax from the Actions menu, pick the fax number, and send — no more downloading the report and uploading it again.
🚀 New Feature - Co-Signature Requests Include Assistants
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
🛠️ Steps to Access: None
📢 What's new?: Co-signature requests now include assistants. Licensed therapists can request a co-signature from an assistant, and assistants can request a co-signature from a supervisor when co-signatures are not required.
🛠️ Fix - Plan Features Update Correctly When a User's Plan Changes
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
📅 Date range affected: N/A
❗ Issue: Some team members kept access to plan features after their plan was changed to a different one.
✅ Action Steps: None required. Each team member now has the features included in their plan. To give someone features from a different plan or add-on, an admin can update it under Subscriptions → Manage user plans.
