- Playing: Stay inside or go outdoors to play. Do activities you enjoy, such as playing games with a friend, sports, drawing, or playing an instrument. When you are finished playing, put away any toys or equipment you used. Wash your hands.
- We played in the snow all day and even made a snowman. The snowman’s nose was NOT a carrot, it was a piece of coal! The heater was broken so it was cold at the house! We couldn’t use the fire because we needed a chimney sweep. Thankfully, the red mittens kept my hands warm. I also had a blue toboggan. Do you think of a toboggan as a hat or a sled?
- Wash: Gather everything you need before you start the shower, including soap, shampoo, a towel, and a washcloth. Turn on the water and adjust the temperature. Enter the shower and use support for balance if needed. Wet your hair and body with the shower water. Apply soap to your body, and use the washcloth to create suds. Apply shampoo to your hair and create suds with your hands. Rinse your body and hair with water. Turn off the shower and step out carefully. Dry yourself off with a towel.
- Reading: Sit down in a comfortable position. Open the book. Hold the book in your hands or place it on a surface in front of you. Turn the pages as you continue reading. Finish reading the book and close it. Place the book back in your backpack.
- Do chores: Get the supplies you need to do your chores. Do one chore at a time, step by step. You might clean your room. Do your laundry. Sweep the floor. When you are done, check with an adult to make sure you did your chores correctly. Put away the supplies you used. Wash your hands.
