Monsters Love Candy! Apraxia Resource CV, VC, CVC Words
Description
A monster activity including different CV, VC, CVC words to practice different syllable shapes.
Strategies and techniques
Suggestions for Use:
•Create your own monster on Kleenex box/container or I use mine with the Nubi Snack Cup.
•Print and laminate the choice board so children can approximate AND point to the food of their choice. Pick the food they’ve chosen to have them repeat the word to feed to the monster. Can use “num, num, num, eat, yum, feed,” as targets as well.
•Cut and laminate foods to “feed” your monster and practice your CVC words.
•Little fridges available for the children to sort CV, VC, CVC if you’re working on identification of syllable shapes OR if you’d like to sort them yourselves. Use the fridge pictures inside small sandwich bags or on the outside of envelopes.
•Sort by color and activity: the spider can be an AH! OOPS! DON’T EAT THE SPIDER!
•Optional use of coloring page at the end.
